End of an ORGASM!

First Motera, then came Mohali and ended in Mumbai!

India is still into its first week of becoming world champions 2011.





The affair which started in Motera against mighty Australians reached to top in Mohali against Pakistan and was at its best peal in Mumbai against Srilanka!

Saturday morning of April 2 started with some sort of romance in air, luckily for Indians there wasn’t a night to follow!

The night I am sure would have been one of the best night for many Indians who went bizarre, the stories of that night will be reiterated over and over for years to come!

Matches were won, World Cup was lifted, players were gifted! Millions in form of rewards were raining from all corners.

AND THEN CAME THE MANIC MONDAY where
A man on his bicycle was heading towards factory.
There was this woman who got up at wee hours just to make sure that tiffin was ready.
A school bus which took left turn had entered school gate.
Same time, same place, same lady was offering prayers.
A man who was heading towards office was about to realize his clutch.
Students around were getting ready for exams.

Life in short - was back where it belonged!

The affair had ended and fortunately on good note for Indians!

In hindsight I noticed one thing "VICTORY LIKE THIS IS LIKE A FRIDAY EVENING, WHICH COMES ONCE IN A WHILE BEFORE LONG WEEKEND!!


Yet, it was "AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER!"

Wish India many more such weekends. Amen!

One cup - One WINNER!

FOR ONCE THERE WAS

No religion - no cast!
No good - no bad!

A gutsy move which could have backfired, if India had lost yesterdays game...
The man was out-of-form till final, promoted himself up the order and came up with blistering knock which people of India won't forget in hurry!

Put it on his efforts or leadership qualities, but be certain of thing the man is born with "KISMAT" to back him!

"Law of Average" will someday catch - up, but for now let's celebrate the win and pray India repeat the same four years from now down-under in Australia (2015 !)

With Shewag's dismissal whole of India went into silence... and with SACHI -N's one billion plus went into SHOCK!

But it was resilience of Gautam Gambhir and cool head of Captain cool MS Dhoni saw India through....

After all; they wanted to do it for Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, they wanted to do it for entire Nation!

At-last with the winning shot the entire nation erupted with joy and after 21 years of single-minded approach "GOD OF CRICKET TOUCHED HOLY GRAIL!" -

How often have we seen people talking exactly opposite... Some of my friends and girlfriends (girl who are friends) have been saying all the way long....
INDIA WILL LOSE!

They said it during clash against Australia, same was against Pakistan and now they are repeating it against Srilankans!

Does the bunch of idiots really mean what they say?

May be yes! (if your from different origin) and Mostly not!

Here how it works!

Basic premise: Good things happen to lucky people.
As per them they are the most unlucky souls under the sun who are born to suffer! End for them either comes at inappropriate time or end itself is worst which they want to forget in hurry!

For them entire world is against them, not a single wish - for them has ever turned into reality...

DEEP DOWN they all think of winning... celebrating but are afraid of reversal consequences!

For them revisiting the very same ordeal is strict NO! To avoid it all they can think is bad omen!

Certainly he is great and was quite visible in Mohali! Not just he wanted too see Sachin bat, but India too win as well!









ALL FOR ONCE WENT INDIA WAY....

Some of Indian high profile batsmen were against UDRS right from the word goes… that too was thrown out of window with Sachin survival! He was given out and referral showed the ball was missing the leg stump.

Had UDRS would not been in place India might have had another post – match review! (Sachin was on 27 when he got first survival chance he went on to make 85)

Sloppy fielding, dropped catches, slowness of the pitch and timing of 3rd power-play added to Pakistan's misery!

India's wrong selection too couldn't rescue men in Green!

I guess Lady luck was with one billion people.... :-))

Team building, leadership, motivation, productivity….. are some of terminologies which are often used in corporate… mostly by common people like us!

So what, if in tomorrows match (Ind V Pak – WC Semi final '11) working professionals go on half – day leave?
So what if management decides to show live match in there respective cafeterias / auditoriums?
Productivity will be low!!!

But it doesn’t end here!

PRP – which includes members of upper house called as Rajya Sabha and of lower house called Lok Sabha who have been relentlessly screwing us / the nation left – right – center will too go on half day…

For a change not just the productivity but guess even the corruption will be all time low if not NIL ;-))

It’s all in the MIND! Really?

Some say this was the catch - which changed the course of the match (for South Africa)! But it wasn't the catch but the MIND which had lost the match.

As rightly said in one of Indian Mythology:

"ITS A CURSE TO LOSE YOUR SKILL WHEN YOU REQUIRED IT THE MOST!"

and the chokers proved it yet another time!



South Africa had all the chance to set the record straight, but come the big stage, comes the big collapse….

SA showed us the way to disappointment again in WC elimination round!

A team which lost just one match in there group stage,
A team which topped the pool ranking,
A team which is third in ICC one day rankings,
A team which was a strong contender for the ultimate glory banished when it mattered the most!

Not for nothing they are tagged as chokers!

The ghost of ’92, ’96, ’99, and ’03 came back with the departure of great Kallis and from there on it was just one way - downhill...

Another four years for Africa! and then another four years… and another four…..

IT’S OF NO USE WINNING THE BATTLES AND LOSING ALL IMPORTANT WAR!

Going by the history, we too cherish our chance to win all important clash against Pakistan! They too haven't won a single game against us in WC fixtures!

Reaching final was a dream and winning could have been icing on cake, yet what followed was a catastrophe…. Billions of prayers went unanswered as India witnessed unforgettable defeat against the mighty Australians in WC Final!

They destroyed our dream, spoiled our evening and ruined our night…

It’s time to spellbound and give them the taste of there own medicine!

Not even in wildest of dreams any Indian would have thought when the great Indian batsman Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar reached his 48 century about the downfall which we eventually had in Saturdays encounter against SA.

We lost 9 wickets in just 29 runs.... whats in it that Indian batsmen cant come to the terms with 3rd Power play! If Ireland can score at decent rate w/o losing too many wickets then why can't we?

Lets hope the equation changes for good.... else prepare yourself for yet another disappointment...

Forget the ticket to Wankhede (Mumbai) on 2nd of April '11

I was just 3 when for the first time India were qualified for WC finals 25 June 1983. Forget about knowing what it’s like winning WC, I wasn’t even aware about the meaning of my own name.

20 years latter India were on brink of winning World cup.
24 march 2003, venue J’burg SA, opponents Australia, and boy what followed from first over was absolute CARNAGE… The match was lost in the very first over!

Top 3 Australian players went bang bang….. Captain Ricky Ponting went on to make 140 odd runs in final… India couldn’t recover and billions of souls sunk in acute mental pain. I seriously thought then, that I won’t be able to witness the joy of world cup win ever...

THINGS HAVE CHANGED BUT NOT THE HISTORY!

The good part we have a good unit and not just players with big names… To make things good our Incredible Nation will host the WC – team surely will get one hundred percent home support.

At the outset every thing looks in our favor except the past!

"NOT ONCE FROM THE START OF WC, COUNTRY HOSTING THE WC FINAL HAS LIFTED THE WC!"
I hope we set exception to the stats else as they say ;-)

Don’t expect India to win, support your country but w/o any expectation!
