If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear - R. Dravid

An individual who has sacrificed so much for the team. Wicketkeeper, batsman, captain; you name it and this man has done it for the team.

He is the closest that one comes to the common man; understated and extremely hardworking.

It was a fitting tribute to this good, classy, elegant man who became the first cricketer from outside Australia, invited to deliver the Bradman Oration!

To understand the depth of thought behind those magnanimous words click on the following link and check out the transcript of Dravid's speech and the video

Playing at No.3 is a tough, tough job.

We're the ones who make life easier for the kings of batting, the middle order that follows us.

- Rahul Dravid

Where is no3?

If Australia's loss against SA was humiliating then Aussies today's loss against NZ in Hobart was painful. A team is at the crossroad.
Opening blues, inconsistent middle order, lack of pace /spin followed by their concerns for no3 spot are doing them no good!

Ponting is unarguably the most successful No 3 test batsmen world cricket has ever seen and the second best after Sir Don in Australia. He is also the only player from Australia who in-spite of losing captaincy found a place in playing 11.

But is it the end of a superstar? Is Ponting on his way into the sunset?

As its been said in Indian mythology:

"ITS A CURSE TO LOSE YOUR SKILL WHEN YOU REQUIRE IT THE MOST!"

And after so many years, he seems to be struggling to find his feet - moving....

But, now comes the series against India. Though he hasn't declared his retirement yet, he could well give one last go from No3 spot.

Beware Indians

SAINT-WAG! :-))

It was "Bombay boy" who was first to reach this landmark way back in Feb 2010. Earlier this year "Delhi Dhamaka" reached 175 in WC opening match against Bangladesh but was out in a bizarre way. Today well there was no stopping whatsoever!

Entire inning was one highlight... Pull, hook, straight drive, square-cut, runs came thick and fast with raining boundaries and sixes!

On 197 one would have thought of taking a single but here was a Saint who was in a trance.... There came a fearsome cut backward of point, ball reached to boundary in flash and there it was @ 1742 hrs came a NEW WORLD RECORD!

Congratulations Sehwag!

Like Mumbai unlike Shanghai Like Delhi unlike Beijing.

Too much of Democracy is stopping India's growth! - Mahathir Former Malaysian PM

Then when I was in courtship she always said "a day will come when Mumbai will be another Shanghai" More often than not I laughed at that idiotic statement!

How in the world the city with so much of disparity, crimes, terror, mayhem would be the most sought after place in the world?

But yesterday when I heard Mahathir's submission about India's political environment where he indirectly pointed to the Indian democracy and its disadvantages I was in trap!

If only India was an autocratic nation

Mumbai could have easily been Shanghai and subsequently Delhi another Beijing!

But sir, I don't want to be in Shanghai or Beijing.

I don't want our army to kill me, my girlfriend, my friends, the Indian when we protest against our own government!

I don't want to see small houses being brought to ground zero by the bulldozers overnight to show the world how clean our city is around the Stadium!

I don't want to see my kids being ruled and ruined for their career by anyone else!
I know today we are a corrupt nation, but I also know someday with likes of honest people around the tides are bound to change.

I am certainly not all for INDIA but,

I don't want to be afraid about whether the Government is reading this blog!
I want to go and sleep in peace!
This is my prayer - "I want FREEDOM!"

Experience a curse?

Age is just a number, what counts is wisdom.
Wisdom it comes from experience.
Experience it opens up a window to see things in different perspective.
Experience it takes away the youth, worst it ends the innocence forever!

Kaun bana COREDPATI ;-))

Simple "Gynaecologist!" Still counting the money! ;-)
