Is it a sheer stroke of good luck?? Or

Is it more to do with Work Ethics, Discipline, Dedication, Hunger to Win, Strong bench strength, Attitude??  

What exactly is it that makes Men in Gold unbeatable 9 out of 10 times on World’s biggest stage??

Who can ever forget his heroics of 2011 WC! Still the ball which went sailing into the stands of Wankhade is fresh in the minds of billion people.

Winning and Losing is part of a game. But for me what has always mattered is determination and beyond all a “HOPE!!!”

No one including the pundits of the game had given Indians a slightest of chance and yet team with sheer determination had reached to Semi Finals of WC 2015.

MS run-a-ball of 65 went all in vain but till he was at the crease no one including the great Australians ever sensed the outright Victory!!!   

Someday “law of average” had to play its part… It did today! 

No matter what the outcome is - you’re still the Darling of Indian run chase!!!

Karna's of World Cricket

It was "Karna" in “Mahabharat” who was cursed by Sage Parshurama saying: He would lose all his skills when it would be required at the most important stage. 

The same has been with South African cricket since 1992 World Cup!!!  

South Africa had all the chance to set the record straight, but come the big stage, comes the big mess….

The ghost of ’92, ’96, ’99, and ’03 came back but this time it wasn’t for weather or miscalculation or drop catch but for MISSED RUN OUT OPPORTUNITIES!!

Proteas are the best fielding side in the world cricket but they lost the skills when it was required at the most important stage – Yet Again!!!

How often have we heard of a convict who walked away without any capital punishment in spite of being a Murderer?

 

He scored the second double-century in World Cup history and also became the first ever New Zealander to achieve such feet!  He scored all around the park and his 237 came in just 163 balls.

Bizarre batting, sloppy fielding has been Pakistan’s story for though out this world cup. 

But, in cricket as the say in matter of time things can change and who better knows about a thing or two than the MOST UNPREDICTABLE TEAM of World Cricket – Pakistan!

It was a tensed night for Australians and it could have gone if not worst either ways had the catch of Watson been taken.

In cricket they say, catches win you matches…

But when it is dropped – IT CAN TURN INTO A HARSH MISTRESS!!!  

You haven't just dropped the catch…. Maybe, you have dropped the World Cup - Rahat!
