They died, so we could live!

Let's face it! Our beloved cities have been targeted in past. The question is - now when?

Leave the babu's who walk the Parliament but its Indian Army and their courage's soldiers who have helped us through this seemingly never ending ordeal of terrirosm!

Our smile is testimony of you're efforts - Sir!

Thank you Indian Army for keeping my city, our country Safe through 2011!

You fought so we could celebrate, you died so we could LIVE!

May the "GOD OF WAR" be with you!

Happy 2012!

Don't settle you don't have to! - ;-))

Same old story different day!
It was the best chance to set record in motion. It would had been India's first ever win @ MCG had they won the match!

But then India and its media.....

The series has been termed as "Thunder - Down under" well pray like hell, it remains the same and not:

"BLUNDERS" - Down Under

Amen!

The great Our-Sachi partnerships ;-))

And hope it get's better - Amen!

It was another great moment for Indian cricket as Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar broke the record books for an incredible partnership. With the effort of 117 at the MCG, the duo has put on a century stand in Test cricket on 20 occasions now and it only promises to get better.... Hopefully!!

Size equals Success!

She is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful looking actress in current Hindi cinema. But her attire in Chikni chameli is surely NOT A THUMBS - UP!

There is also apparent gap which one can notice in her moves and facial expressions, she looks out of place!

She is thin, she is tall, lack of knowledge with regards to classical dancing can even be a reason for this Chikni to look awful in Chikni chameli!

Well in the midst of seeing the video one is likely to draw the comparison!

And what better than the song from Sailaab; where the then CAT of 90's had set the stage on fire! (Practically in 90's she was the BEST)

Guess with regards to certain moves -

Success has lot to do with Size! :-)

Dysfunctional truth!

In the midst of gradually increasing speed I came across this beautiful girl, seldom I have turned back while running but then she was blessed by the goddess of proportion.

An hour later on my way down here she was kissing a girl who seemed to be her friend, I have no problem seeing men turn homosexual - Hell with them!

But in the country where male to female ratio is anyway dipping with every passing day, seeing gorgeous girls gunning down for same sex was nothing short of insult to injury.

They say it's about a spiritual awakening of yourself and who you are, well that thing can even be experienced.....

We smiled @ each other and before leaving the place - said bi - BYE! ;-))

If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear - R. Dravid

An individual who has sacrificed so much for the team. Wicketkeeper, batsman, captain; you name it and this man has done it for the team.

He is the closest that one comes to the common man; understated and extremely hardworking.

It was a fitting tribute to this good, classy, elegant man who became the first cricketer from outside Australia, invited to deliver the Bradman Oration!

To understand the depth of thought behind those magnanimous words click on the following link and check out the transcript of Dravid's speech and the video

Playing at No.3 is a tough, tough job.

We're the ones who make life easier for the kings of batting, the middle order that follows us.

- Rahul Dravid

YOU ROCK!!!

Monday, December 12, 2011

Where is no3?

If Australia's loss against SA was humiliating then Aussies today's loss against NZ in Hobart was painful. A team is at the crossroad.
Opening blues, inconsistent middle order, lack of pace /spin followed by their concerns for no3 spot are doing them no good!

Ponting is unarguably the most successful No 3 test batsmen world cricket has ever seen and the second best after Sir Don in Australia. He is also the only player from Australia who in-spite of losing captaincy found a place in playing 11.

But is it the end of a superstar? Is Ponting on his way into the sunset?

As its been said in Indian mythology:

"ITS A CURSE TO LOSE YOUR SKILL WHEN YOU REQUIRE IT THE MOST!"

And after so many years, he seems to be struggling to find his feet - moving....

But, now comes the series against India. Though he hasn't declared his retirement yet, he could well give one last go from No3 spot.

Beware Indians

"ONE CAN'T KEEP TALENT DOWN FOREVER!"

SAINT-WAG! :-))

It was "Bombay boy" who was first to reach this landmark way back in Feb 2010. Earlier this year "Delhi Dhamaka" reached 175 in WC opening match against Bangladesh but was out in a bizarre way. Today well there was no stopping whatsoever!

Entire inning was one highlight... Pull, hook, straight drive, square-cut, runs came thick and fast with raining boundaries and sixes!

On 197 one would have thought of taking a single but here was a Saint who was in a trance.... There came a fearsome cut backward of point, ball reached to boundary in flash and there it was @ 1742 hrs came a NEW WORLD RECORD!

Congratulations Sehwag!

Like Mumbai unlike Shanghai Like Delhi unlike Beijing.

Too much of Democracy is stopping India's growth! - Mahathir Former Malaysian PM

Then when I was in courtship she always said "a day will come when Mumbai will be another Shanghai" More often than not I laughed at that idiotic statement!

How in the world the city with so much of disparity, crimes, terror, mayhem would be the most sought after place in the world?

But yesterday when I heard Mahathir's submission about India's political environment where he indirectly pointed to the Indian democracy and its disadvantages I was in trap!

If only India was an autocratic nation

Mumbai could have easily been Shanghai and subsequently Delhi another Beijing!

But sir, I don't want to be in Shanghai or Beijing.

I don't want our army to kill me, my girlfriend, my friends, the Indian when we protest against our own government!

I don't want to see small houses being brought to ground zero by the bulldozers overnight to show the world how clean our city is around the Stadium!

I don't want to see my kids being ruled and ruined for their career by anyone else!
I know today we are a corrupt nation, but I also know someday with likes of honest people around the tides are bound to change.

I am certainly not all for INDIA but,

I don't want to be afraid about whether the Government is reading this blog!
I want to go and sleep in peace!
This is my prayer - "I want FREEDOM!"

Wisdom it comes from experience.
Experience it opens up a window to see things in different perspective.
Experience it takes away the youth, worst it ends the innocence forever!

Now for Boxing Day - Dec 25

It was his 16th inning w/o a hundred, more precisely hundredth international hundred and with perfect setting it was on the cards!

But then came the moment - the one which for long time we had put to rest....
10.10 AM on 94 and OUT! It was total DISBELIEF!

First Lords, then came Oval, subsequently in Delhi yet he couldn't reach to this elusive landmark.

"LAW OF AVERAGE" was too on his side and yet this Friday God had to play cruel!

For me it was never about this hundred, he will anyways get to it sooner than later, but for Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar reaching to this landmark on his home ground - Wankhade would had been "Icing on the cake"

In a country with so much of imperfection, hatred, disparity, betrayal - Sachin's hundred would have come as a respite..... After all for past 22 years he has given us incomparable joy!

God you a***** all we expected was a PERFECT ENDING!
! SACHI!

Vidya Balanced! ;-)

If you don't like her, then you're just 3hours away from falling in love with this South Indian Chocolate beauty.

Apart from the most beautiful Kaif it's Balan who appears as one lady who knows the rules of the game, she plays within, looks like a mystery, blessed with
gorgeous eyes, straight nose followed by her electrifying smile....

One can see the sun shinning,
One can see the stars dancing,
One can see the moon floating,
One can see love longing in those eyes!

Balan who appears in gorgeous pink 80's style filmy dance outfit; reveling her curves and flaunting her cleavage looks oomph personified as she shakes on the tune of Ooh La la... without any inhibition whatsoever.

With Balans inclusion; Dirty Picture will not to be dirty for-sure!

Mayhem Continues.....

On the other side of the globe

Cricket Australia faced yet another demoralizing defeat.

Day two of 1st test was a Manic day for Aussies as they went from 13 for 3 to 21 for 9 and eventually were out for 41runs.

Twenty-three wickets across four innings in a single day was days highlight – and it was only the third time in Test cricket that both teams batted twice on the day.

South Africa have won their first out of two test-match series, misery continues for Australia...

Like dad - Unlike son....

Well I was never interested in writing anything on Bollywood - so called Divas - rather Iam still not convinced / happy to mention them!

I would rather prefer to pen down a thing or two about the prostitutes, (the real one who work in red-light areas) their hard life, their importance for the society, painful journey towards death.... than on these lousy characters who live
insanely absurd life....

Barring Dixits, Kaifs and Kajols of modern cinema and some of yesteryear actresses in likes of Madhubala, Vaijanti Mala and my ALL TIME FAVOURITE - the sweetest of all Waheeda Rehman not a single Bollywood female actress and precisely of modern cinema worth a mention!

Vraa.. Vraa... VROOM......

Ruthless, perfectionists, big bucks, bigger egos followed by failure, engine breakdown, accidents and horrifying deaths - these aren't just words but part of F1 sport...

It was Ayrton Senna who once said.... "If you don't go for a gap you aren't a racing driver" And boy, those gutsy F1 drivers, they live up to the expectations.... Don't they?

I wasn’t a religious follower of the sport but, have loved seeing cars speed at 300km / hour

The looks of those machines, sound of engine VRAA – VRAA VROOM.... the smell of those burning rubbers, unimaginable accidents and above all seeing companies spend millions and billions of dollars just for that extra edge of few seconds.. makes F1 dynamic and truly a rich SPORT!

Finally, come end October India will host its maiden GP

YES - Indian Grand Prix (IGP)

Agreed, it is day zero but with 65% of the population under age of 35 - this sport is surely to stay for a long time....

Revenge - Duh.........

The more you wait, well the more it will taste good..... Is it?

Think of India V England upcoming series in India and most of them have started talking about revenge
already..... Some stupids are even updating their status message... @ FB wall!

But today I was in shock when the likes of some good players reiterated it through newspaper TOI / Indian Express -

Is the revenge the only way to get even in any sport? Well for some it may make sense for some - Naaaa....

Vengeance it serves no good.... Once that is on the mind it makes us desperate, one knowingly or unknowingly puts unnecessary pressure and in the process screws-up the basics!

I believe in "Play to Win" "Go for a Kill" attitude but AFRESH!

This is at-least true when it comes to a sport.... else - As they say "REVENGE IS A DISH BEST SERVED COLD!"

You are already naked - Jobs

Deemed irreplaceable by many Apple fans. He transformed the worlds of computing, music and mobile phones!

"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

Jobs said during a Stanford commencement ceremony in 2005.

Final good night APPL!

Do see that inspirational video /speech given by Jobs @Stanford. Never hurts to get !nspired..... if seen then see it again!

R!P! - Jobs

P.S.
I don't have a single Iphone. I don't own an Ipod neither do I own a Mac. Yet your absence leaves a sense of vacuum. You have achieved the impossible every single time in your life; you have smashed the impossible every single time in your life. I remember the same line when I think of you.... You're the CEO Bitch ;-))

Last week I logged onto FACEBOOK and was immediately stumped by its new AVATAR.

The entire structure was reconstructed!
With whose permission? GOD KNOWS!

See the movie "The Social Network" for the pic reference.

FACEBOOK
by far is the best social networking site:

It helped millions of people to connect.
It helped people in branding themselves.
Information, updates, notes, sharing photos, tags, likes it changed the world for us.
and then it was "RELATIONSHIP STATUS" -
It gave every person the POWER to explore and play with each others space!

But, that is SCARY!

It made us addicted to the system.
It came up with change after change - however, useful / productive or otherwise.
Poor user silently had to embrace it.

One could crib about it but one can't come out of it. There is too much at stake, the pressure of not being part of the "IN-THING" Losing the connect with outside world etc.

FACEBOOK certainly has a huge value to the society. It is one of useful aspect of our daily routine however, it also has potential power to penetrate our lives, our soul and revamp entire body WITHOUT WE HAVING A SAY IN IT!

Well, in economic term what is FACEBOOK?

Monopoly (a market in which there is only one seller of a good)
Oligopoly (a market in which there are few sellers of a good)
Monopolistic competition (in which there are many sellers producing highly differentiated goods)
or
is it just a classic case of IMPERFECT COMPETITION?

You're surely the CEO Bitch ;-))

Shameful SUMMER!

Finally an end to India's seemingly never-ending tour of England! THANK ISHWAR! ;-)

Someday, "Law of Average" was going to catch up with captain cool, LADY LUCK was to desert; but no one in wildest of dream would have thought to be it so soon!

WHAT A RESULT!

A dream turned nightmare!

As many as 8 Indian players (selectors first choice) were sent back due to injuries!

Vision, ear, shoulder, elbow, wrist, soar palm, stomach, hamstring, knee, toe you name it and Indians were down and out with a problem!

Its not the practice which makes one perfect but, "PERFECT PRACTICE - WHICH MAKES ONE PERFECT!"

Barring, The Wall - Rahul Dravid not a single Indian player was up to the challenge in hostile English condition!

I am not against the loss but, manner in which results are out was utterly SHAMEFUL!

BIG BUCKS, ADULATION, WOMEN, FAME - PLAYERS HAVE EVERYTHING. AND YET, "SUMMER OF ENGLAND HAS BEEN A PAIN!"

Boring? MY FOOT!!!

If ever there was a TEAM Man it was him and despite of all his efforts he was tagged as boring ODI batsmen. Boring? MY FOOT!!!

He is seventh highest run-scorer and one of only eight batsmen to have scored 10,000 ODI runs... (10,820) With 343 matches under his belt an average of 39.06 can't be boring.... whatsoever!

He was UNBREAKABLE! And come this Friday (06:30 PM IST) - Rahul Sharad Dravid will bring the curtains down on his illustrious ODI career!

Every person in his /her respective career has a fond memory, for Dravid that would surely be his Last ODI game as "HE SIGNS-OFF ON HIS OWN TERMS!"

The only solace for his die-hard fans.... Thank you WALL!

Love FACEBOOK? - A 14 day GIMMICK!

Realization - Is the only thing which pulls one out of all vice and social networking if "blown out of proportion" too becomes a part of unending torture.
You can either permanently delete an exe or simply wait for the system to crash down!

But, even if one thinks of getting rid of FACEBOOK once and for all - user has to wait for 14days!

BOY... which means a chance to rethink on the decision for next 20,160 Minutes! ;-))

Carnival to CHAOS

The only Ganesh Idol - Lalbaug Cha Raja (Bombay) where the procession goes on for nearly 24hours! (From mandal to Girgaon chaupati beach)

It was one of the mishap, which brought a shadow on immersion process...

The balcony on which people were standing came down, as many as 25 /30 people got injured and unfortunately one person lost his life!

Who is to blame for?

Luck / Fate of that person who lost his life? Or

Irresponsible / Chalta hai - attitude of people who were on that balcony?

In theory one would need to analyze the incidence! But, the footage compels to question FAITH IN SUPER NATURAL POWER... WORST - IT INCREASES FAIR AMOUNT OF CYNICISM....

Perpetual SILENCE!

It weren’t just big names or famous names.
It weren’t just Hindus, it weren’t just Bramhins.
It weren’t just Gandhi’s, Nehru’s, Savarkar’s or Tilak’s.

But there was one more person who was instrumental in India’s struggle to freedom.

His contribution was immense and his single minded approach eventually forced East India Co. to move out of India.

For some he is a villain, for some he was a hero. Germans avoid it, Brits hate!

But

INDIA……?

Well, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE!

COMETH THE HOUR....

COMETH THE MAN.....

Now goes the million dollar question!
If Sachin wasn't there, would have we considered Rahul Dravid as the Best Indian Test Batsmen ever????

It was a demanding day @ Trent Bridge for batters as it required sheer amount of skill, courage and highest level of concentration.   But amidst the thing's stood - "A MAGNIFICENT CENTURY BY A MAGNIFICENT BATSMEN!"

Rahul Sharad Dravid with his 34 test century equals with Sunil Gavaskar. He also became the ONLY PERSON - TO HAVE FACED MORE DELIVERIES THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE HISTORY OF TEST CRICKET!

CONGRATULATIONS "WALL!"

Trend follows @ TRENT BRIDGE

Out of all the things under the Sun "FASHION" remains constant.... It will never die! and "MEN IN BLUE" as far as game of TEST CRICKET goes are trendsetters!

For the life of me, I haven't understood the reason behind being slow starters... Go anywhere round the world our most prolific batters have always failed to take a grip on test series - RIGHT FROM THE WORD GOES!

England series is no different!

We were outplayed in first test but boy yesterday was again a complete turn around!

For once it might be difficult for England to bounce back in current test but for India

TREND FOLLOWS!!!!

GOOD CHANCE for India to make it ONE-ALL!

Rahul... "Writes on the WALL!"

When entire India was awaiting the magical moment of 100 international hundreds from Sachin, here was a man who quietly reached to his 33rd Test - Century.

In the process he went pass Australian Ricky Ponting to become the SECOND HIGHEST RUN GETTER in Test cricket.

It was his FIRST - CENTURY at LORDS CRICKET GROUND!
And MOST IMPORTANTLY HELPED INDIA TO SAVE FOLLOW -ON!

The man with utmost INTEGRITY has shown time and again his worth and the reason - for why he is regarded as THE WALL!

Thank you RSD.

SENNA - Documentary

Every book, every instinct suggest to be careful with the machines. But, then F1 is for all obsessives... and AYRTON SENNA was its ultimate HERO!
He was naturally gifted who often transcended the speed, gave everything - literally everything every minute when he was on F1 circuit. He carried a playboy image, but BOY, inside the car he was a ruthless competitor who believed had "EVERY RIGHT TO WIN!"
Outside the car Senna was calm, composed spiritual gentlemen who was loved by everyone!

The documentary is directed by Asif Kapadia and written by Manish Pandey.
It depicts the life and death of Brazilian motor-racing champion, it focuses on Senna’s rise in F1 during the 1980s, his rivalry with French driver Alain Prost and his untimely death at Imola which was captured on live television.

After a long time I heard this beautiful quote which eventually made me cry.... Quote from the man himself who was interviewed before that fatal day....

"There is a lot to learn, a lot to do, a lot to see, but I have plenty of time..."

Rest in peace - SENNA!

BOMB-BAY PAYS!

Take a look at this picture... CAREFULLY!

26/11 only attacker - was captured alive by Mumbai police.
13 July was his birthday or 13 September?? - that to our intelligent isn't sure about!

The coward's celebrated on July 13 and the common man from India's capital city had to pay the "RETURN GIFT!"

Now the POLITICIANS would talk about "MUMBAI'S - SPIRIT" and then will leave a Mumbaikar on his own!

Those killed were devotees of Indian deities, devotees of Allah, devotees of Jesus and yet no one was spared!

"PEACE - IS IT REALLY SO DIFFICULT?"

Dear god, not everyone deserves to live, but then killing is a crime!
If you want to finish - off the human existence then India has hundreds of politicians - who don't deserve to see another day.....

Why don't you intervene?

Yet not "INVINCIBLE"

End of Starters....

Beating West Indies in their own backyard was a task during 80's but not anymore!

3rd test was evenly poised and on last day India needed 100 odd runs in 15overs, the target wasn't that difficult yet amidst the match something terribly missed - "KILLER INSTINCT!"

India, instead of going for a victory played out for a draw.

Well, India may be no.1 test playing nation but "GREATNESS WASN'T ACHIEVED" by the approach in which day was ended!

Its end of the starters and now lies the GREAT ENDEAVOR - first in England (July 21 - Lord's first test) and then in December down-under - Australia.

Wishing the team - good fortunes!

The Shawshank Redemption

The movie is about the simple man, who does extraordinary things which helps him to BREAK OUT OF PRISON!

The movie came out almost 2 decades ago. Couple of years back I saw it for the first time, and since then I have been seeing it and finding something new every time!

Andy Dufresne, a hotshot banker is wrongly convicted and is sentenced to two consecutive life terms for the murder of his wife and her lover. He pleads for being innocent but....

Andy's journey in exploring life's possibilities begins at - SHAWSHANK!

At Shawshank prison Andy finds handful of inmates, he helps warden to convert his black money into legitimate one, he helps other guards with tax returns, and finally when least is expected the character crawls to freedom through five hundred yards of shit-smelling dirt.

The wall poster of beautiful RITA HAYWORTH really comes handy for Andy...

By end of the movie, one could hear a simple music and that is "HOPE!" After all hope knows no limits, knows no borders.

Truly uplifting movie.... one should see

Its all about either "get busy living, or get busy dying!"

Devotee....balanced.....FAITH....

Student FOREVER!

The one who devoted his entire cricketing career for one thing - IMPROVISATION!

His impeccable technique and above all balanced character on and off the field makes Rahul Dravid - THE WALL, MY FAVORITE CRICKETER!

There are some who are as good as others but seldom they get their due credit. No matter how much they slog, the result of their effort is overshadowed by someone else performance and Dravid in this sphere fits the bill!

In a star studded batting line up which had Shewag's Lakshman's Ganguly's and Tendulkar's; Dravid's performance has always been least spoken about!

But, THE WALL has never been been affected by it!

"He does what he knows the best!" Batting!

It was Dravids 32 test century which helped India win first test in West Indies!

Time and again he has BAILED - INDIA OUT OF THE DISASTROUS SITUATION!

"He is just like a plant who's been transformed into a tree, which is providing shelter year after year...."

Goodluck Dravid for the last leg of your FASCINATING career!

At 18 one gets a driving license, at 21 one is capable of going on war front to protect his/ her own country, at 21 one can marry a person of one's own choice and subsequently have sex and YET age limit for drinking becomes 25!

THE HELL WITH THE LEGISLATORS!

The CLOWNS who enacted the law, argued about the emotional stability but how in the world a guy or a girl would suddenly become emotionally stable overnight??

Drinking surely is not good if blown out of proportion but then "drinking definitely has nothing to do with the age - IT HAS MORE TO DO WITH THE MIND"

If emotional stability was the case then BAN LIQUOR, because people are going to go through ups and downs and eventually its going to reflect in there behavior! (Part of the emotional stability)

IT IS ABSURD AND ONE FEELS SORRY FOR THE KID'S WHO ARE IN THEIR GOLDEN YEARS OF EARLY 20'S!

Its perfect example of "PARALLEL ECONOMY" -

Where a law is created and broken. The cops and others involved become rich! - GUJARAT the "dry state" has maximum liquor consumption!

I wont be surprised if the government in years to come decides to BAN chinese food for lunch and chicken biryani after 2230 hrs!

Unexpected....

.....ENCOUNTERS!!

Two of applications have made blogging an INTERESTING AFFAIR! STATS AND LIVE TRAFFIC FEED (FEEDJIT)

Its "encouraging" to see people visit BLOGS.

These are the people from different corners of the world, from different part of this country, some you know in person while rest you don't and then there are people whom you are convinced that you don't know any long...

The old saying that goes is apt when it comes to Stats: “Statistics are like bikinis: What they reveal is interesting, but what they hide is vital.” ;-))

Flip side of God….

AWESOME BATSMEN... AWFUL LEADER...

They say “when rape is inevitable, stretch the wings and enjoy it!

Yesterday’s game was no different for MI (Mumbai Indians) they were drilled from the very first over by Chris Henry Gayle.

The best batsmen in the world, God of cricket was made look like a "MONKEY"in first 10 overs….

At Chepauk, teams batting first have won on six occasions out of seven, and yet the skipper of MI opted to field first.

Thought it will then be a context bet’n most destructive batsmen of IV (Gayle) against the most successful wicket taker (Malinga), yet all were taken by shock when skipper handed the ball to inexperienced rookie medium pacer.

Result was for everyone to see…. 1st over 27runs and from there on it was mayhem!

The God is best when it comes to batting, but certainly not when it comes to leading the pack.... Bad luck MI!

Good luck Super-duper team! "LAW OF AVERAGE" will come into play against RCG - Royal challenger Gayle! ;-))

IT'S SUPER KINGS ALL THE WAY..........
