The game could have been unfair. But, don't be UNJUST!!!

I’m not much into celebrating club level football tournaments. But, that has never come in between while defending or praying for an international team or watching, following international player/(s). 

Very few are the players in sporting arena who capture your imagination like never before. 

You just don’t follow them you 'revere' them as a player. They have capacity to blow up your mind with their on-field skills and utmost humility off the field!! – Messi is one such a beautiful player – the beautiful game has witnessed!

Half the world today woke up to the shocker as the man announced his retirement.   

Yes, it was missed opportunity for Messi in the shootout, yes he along with his team must have lost fourth big final! 

May be pain of defeat in 3finals in 3years perhaps taking its toll on Lionel but, 29 is certainly not an age to retire….

In the heat of the moment one can make a call but, as the sun goes down, nerves settle in, one can and should reconsider such a decision!?   

After-all…. Legend can't give up just like that. They don't quit that easily. They keep fighting!!!

Udta Trust!!

Last week must have been Udta ride for makers Udta Punjab. 

From 89 to 13 cuts from Censor Board to Revising Committee to Bombay High Court to finally seeing a green signal to drug – themed Udta Punjab with just 1 cut was a victory short-lived!! 

Just two days before of this controversial film release someone leaked the censored copy online. 

Allegations and counter allegations have been doing the rounds… Some say it was CBFC who leaked the copy. While some suggest it could also have been member of a technical team from sponsor's side – wonder who was on a real high!! 

Egos were shattered and the wounded soul had to get even but, in first place was it all necessary right from 89 cuts?? 

Seeing pornography in state assembly is fine but, showing reality of a Drug addict state is uncalled-for – Excellent!!! 

Forget the constitutional rights of an individual but, leaking a censored copy just to get even is an absolute sabotage of trust!!! 

Maybe, the makers of Udta Punjab can come up with sequel Udta Trust!!! Period!!! :) !!

Don’t count the days… Make the days count!! - Ali

What a way to begin a sport and later to be considered as undisputed King of the ring!!! 

A 12 year old kid was fuming over a thief who stole his bicycle. He met a police officer and told he was going “knock out” the thief. The officer in return told the kid he better learn how to box first…. Well, Rest is a history!!! 

At 12 he began the training and just in 10 years at 22 Muhammad Ali won the maiden world heavyweight championship. 

His staggering lifetime record of 56wins and just 5 defeats is unmatched and remains only one to have won the world heavyweight championship three times!!! 

Ali was the best boxer, supreme athlete but beyond all the he gave millions of people hope. 

He had flair with words and some of his quotes would help men and women of generations to come, to uplift themselves when down and out!! 

One of my favorite all time quote of Ali is "Live everyday as it was your last, because someday you are going to be right!" 

Ali surely transcended the sport…  

The greatest now, resting in the greatest place. Rest in peace – Champion!!!
