What a way to begin a sport and later to
be considered as undisputed King of the ring!!!
A 12 year old kid was fuming over a
thief who stole his bicycle. He met a police officer and told he was going “knock
out” the thief. The officer in return told the kid he better learn how to box
first…. Well, Rest is a history!!!
At 12 he began the training and just in 10 years
at 22 Muhammad Ali won the
maiden world heavyweight championship.
His staggering lifetime record of 56wins
and just 5 defeats is unmatched and remains only one to have won the world
heavyweight championship three times!!!
Ali was the best boxer, supreme athlete
but beyond all the he gave millions of people hope.
He had flair with words and
some of his quotes would help men and women of generations to come, to uplift themselves when down and out!!
One of my favorite all time quote of Ali is "Live everyday as it was your last, because someday you are going to be right!"
Ali surely transcended the sport…
The greatest now, resting in the greatest place. Rest in peace – Champion!!!
